FAQs about selling your items through DollarDealers

Is it better to sell or pawn my items?

DollarDealers will offer you a fair price if you want to sell unwanted items for cash. Selling them will give you a one-time payment, but you lose ownership of the items. This may work if you need immediate cash and don’t mind parting with the items.

Pawning provides you with a loan and lets you keep ownership of your items. However, you must repay the loan plus interest within a specified period. This may be a good option if you need temporary funds and want to keep your items.

How do I sell unwanted items to DollarDealers?

Selling your unwanted items to DollarDealers is straightforward. Simply bring your items to any of our stores for a free, no-obligation appraisal. Our experienced staff will evaluate your items on the spot. If you accept our offer, you’ll receive cash immediately. There’s no need for an appointment, and the process is designed to be quick, convenient, and discreet.

What types of items can I sell to DollarDealers?

We accept a wide range of items including electronics (like mobile phones, laptops, and gaming consoles), jewellery (gold, silver, diamonds), watches, power tools, musical instruments, and more. If you’re not sure if we accept an item, just bring it into a store or contact us for advice. We aim to provide a fair and competitive offer for your unwanted items.

Do I need an appointment for an appraisal with DollarDealers?

You don’t need to make an appointment. Simply visit any of our stores during business hours for a free appraisal and our friendly staff will help you as quickly as possible. If you have many items or something particularly valuable, call ahead to make sure we can help you promptly.

Can I get an estimate online?

Yes, you can use our online estimate form to get an initial idea of your item’s value before visiting a store. Simply fill out the form with details about your item, including photos if possible, and one of our experts will get back to you promptly with an estimated value. Please note that final appraisals and offers are made in person after a thorough inspection.

What identification do I need to sell my items?

To sell any unwanted items, you must be at least 18 years old and provide a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, passport, or 18+ Card. This is to make sure we comply with regulations and protect both parties involved in the transaction.

How do you determine the value of my items?

Our experts will evaluate your items based on several factors, like their condition, market demand, and market prices. For example, jewellery is assessed based on the purity of the metal, the quality of any gemstones, and the overall craftsmanship. Electronics are evaluated based on their functionality, age, and market trends. We aim to provide a fair and competitive offer for your unwanted items.

Is there a limit to how much I can sell to DollarDealers?

There is no limit to the number of items you can sell to us. Whether you have a single item or an entire collection, we can help. However, large quantities may need additional time for a thorough appraisal.

How do I get paid?

You can choose to receive payment in cash or by same day bank transfer. Cash payments are made on the spot, while bank deposits may take a short time to process. Our goal is to make the transaction as convenient as possible for you.

What happens if I don’t agree with the appraisal offer?

If you don’t agree with our offer, you are under no obligation to sell your item. You can take your item back with no questions asked. We understand you may have a specific value in mind, and we will respect your final decision. Our appraisals are free, so you have nothing to lose by getting a free estimate.
